Children's reading and writing skills develop in a wide variety of ways, and our card reader programs offer a special audiovisual training method that targets the needs of many. Designed for early childhood, K-12 bilingual reading, language learners, ESL and adult learners, special education, as well as intergenerational and workforce literacy groups, Action Fundamentals enables students to link visible letters with the sounds they hear played back through the Cardmaster device. This repeated, multi-modal, kinesthetic, visual and auditory reinforcement helps solidify mental connections between the written and spoken word and is a useful teaching tool for assessment and literacy training.

Ideal for classroom use as a group learning center, it can also be used individually in language labs and speech therapies. The Cardmaster and its simple to use language cards are a resource designed for patterning, call and response and repeated reading activities. The portable CardMaster is an effective "vocal mirror" for teacher and student, pathologist and client. Sliding the prerecorded card through the machine plays its contents through the 5 Watt speaker or allows for recording on blank cards. Students select a card, listen, record a response and compare the two recordings.
